Regular Verbs

Rule: Add -ed to base form

📝 Spelling Rules for Regular Verbs

1. Most verbs: add -ed

walk → walked, talk → talked

2. Verbs ending in -e: add -d

live → lived, dance → danced

3. Verbs ending in consonant + y: change y to i, add -ed

study → studied, try → tried

4. One syllable verbs ending in consonant-vowel-consonant: double final consonant, add -ed
